TTCL has successfully completed a hot tapping operation using a 508 B-type sleeve on an active natural gas pipeline, marking another safe and efficient live intervention project.
The operation was carried out on a pipeline with a main line outside diameter of D508 mm, transporting natural gas under operating conditions. The scope required precise execution of hot tapping works to ensure that a new branch connection could be made without any shutdown or interruption to gas supply.
Using the 508 B-type sleeve system, TTCL performed the hot tapping process under pressure, ensuring full containment and zero leakage throughout the operation. The equipment demonstrated stable performance and reliable sealing integrity, meeting all safety and technical requirements for live pipeline modification.
Throughout the project, strict control measures were implemented to manage risk during the hot tapping operation, ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment, and pipeline integrity at all times. The successful completion confirms the effectiveness of TTCL’s engineering capability in handling complex pressurized pipeline works.
This project further strengthens TTCL’s expertise in hot tapping solutions for natural gas pipelines, enabling operators to carry out pipeline connections and modifications without service interruption, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
